Minipelicano Doce 100% Electric
We celebrate the first transformation in our fleet of a boat with a diesel engine to full electric propulsion.
On March 23 we will celebrate a milestone in the history of our company with more than 65 years of history, being the day on which we begin the ecological transition of our fleet of boats with the launch of the first unit 100% electric with zero emissions of CO2 into the atmosphere.
The reconversion has consisted of replacing the traditional diesel combustion engine with a 10kw electric outboard motor with a range of approximately 5 hours. The MINIPELICANO DOCE is 6 meters long and 2 meters wide, carries out the activity of cleaning the water surface in the Port of Castellón, therefore making it doubly ecological. Their daily work consists of cleaning the water surface, collecting floating waste such as containers, plastic bottles, wooden boxes, polyethylene boxes, algae, etc.
The reconversion of the boat has been carried out by the CONSULMAR team at its port facilities. This is the first electrical boat in operation and will serve as an experience for future conversions and constructions of new electric and hybrid port service launches and barges that we plan to carry out in 2022 and beyond.
